Kolkata: Flight operations at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Airport here were affected today due to dense fog engulfing the city with 27
domestic and international flights not taking off since 2am.
Fifteen flights which were scheduled to land at the airport failed to do so because of fog, airport sources said.
The general visibility dropped to 0 metres at 5 am and it was 100 metres at 8 am, they said.
Air India's flight carrying Haj pilgrims which was scheduled to land at 4.30 am was diverted to Nagpur, they said.
