Grieving daughter flies home with father's body

A daughter accompanied her dead father's body back to India yesterday - just a day after she was due to fly back alone after visiting family.
Madhavan Kutty Kandiyoor had just dropped off his daughter Sridevi at Bahrain International Airport on Sunday when he collapsed at the check-in counter.
The 55-year-old had driven her to the airport from Saudi Arabia and was about to say farewell when he fell down after suffering a heart attack.
His family reached Bahrain the same day from Khobar and flew out with his body last night.
"He came to Bahrain to see off his daughter, who was travelling back for her studies after staying with the family for almost two weeks," said his nephew Krishna Prasad, a computer programmer at Software Innovation Bahrain.
"He collapsed as soon as his daughter took her boarding pass.
Mr Kandiyoor, from Kerala, India, is survived by his wife Renuka, daughter Sridevi, 22, and son Srikuttan, 18.
