Security breached at Amausi

Lucknow: A flutter was created among the officials on the Amausi Airport after a security breach came to light on Monday. A 53-years old man
managed to climb the boundary wall and came near the runway where he was nabbed in the nick of time by the security personnel .
According to the police, the incident occurred around 10.30 in the morning . The man who took the step was later identified - from the voter identification card which he had - as Shiv Ji Thakur, a resident of Madhubani in Bihar.
According to the police, Thakur entered the airport premises from the rear portion that is attached to Aurangabad village on the outskirts of the city. There was some construction work going on and it were the labourers who informed the security about the man entering and running towards the runway.
According to the police, during the initial investigation it came to light that the man hails from Bihar and a ticket from Ghaziabad to Nizamuddin dated January 1 was also recovered from him. Police said that the man appeared to be mentally upset and hence was sent for medical examination.
The director of the Airport Authority Of India at Amausi Airport, SD Awasthi talking to TOI said that the man was not nabbed on the runway but the police said that he was nabbed on the runway.
