Bhopal, Indore airport get new `wing'

Bhopal: Union Aviation Minister Prafulla Patel today laid foundation stone of unified terminal building near Raja Bhoj Airport in the capital today. It is the initiative to make the airport of international level.
Governor Dr Balram Jakhar, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, MP Kailash Joshi, Urban Development Minister Babulal Gaur and a number of people were present on the occasion. Patel, after inaugurating terminal on Friday in Indore visited Raipur and Ranchi where he also laid stone of unified terminal.
The Union Minister while addressing at the ceremony said that the airports of the country would be made facilitative. He said around 35 terminals are to be built in the same way including 3 terminals of Madhya Pradesh. 2 out of them have been laid today.
A terminal would be developed in Khajuraho along with Bhopal and Indore. He said that number of passengers are being witnessed at the airports now. There is competition among the aviation companies. He stressed that it should be encouraged also in MP.
Talking to media persons the Union Minister told that plane crash in last days was the result of negligence of human being. Its investigation is being made.
Governor Dr Balram Jakhar on this occasion said that it is a good initiative and it would be fruitful to the farmers and businessmen.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on the occasion that the government has allotted 400 acre land for developing unified terminal. It is a good initiative in extending facilities for the passengers.
All facilities would be available in this terminal which is going to be built at a cost of Rs 126 crore.
There would be automatic ladders along with lift, internet café, ATM and other technical facilities for the passengers. Passengers of country and abroad would be entertained well. It is told that the air conditioned terminal would be ready up to October. Parking facilities for 500 vehicles would be arranged here.
