Bangalore: Air Chief Marshal Fali Homi Major on Thursday said he stood by his narration on Monday’s near miss in Mumbai and said there can be no issue of which helicopter lands first after clearance for the flight plan is given.
Responding to a question following reports that one of the VIP helicopters carrying the President of India and her aides landed ahead of its turn, the Air Chief said that in a formation flying once the flight plan is finalised it does not matter in what sequence the helicopter lands.
“The landing sequence depends on a situation and it is not mandatory for helicopter 1, 2 or 3 to land in order,” he said.
