Woman arrested at airport

Calcutta: A 30-year-old woman, Sudeshna Rani, was arrested at Calcutta airport on Tuesday for travelling from Malaysia on another person’s passport.
“Immigration officials noticed that the passport photograph didn’t match with the passenger,” an official said.
Sudeshna, a resident of Haryana, told the police that she had moved to Malaysia after marrying Charanjit Singh in 2008. She lost her passport in Malaysia and an agent stole her duplicate passport. Another agent provided her with the passport issued in the name of Sarabjit Kaur when she needed to return to India after her mother was taken ill.
