Air India Cargo wins award

Mumbai: Air India Cargo (AIC) has bagged the Cargo Airline of the Year award in the best Central Asia Cargo airline category for 2009.
Air India Cargo is the cargo-arm of national air-carrier, Air India. This is the first time that AIC has won the award, which was received by Cargo Chief, Mr Anita Khurana, on behalf of the airline, a company press release said on Wednesday.
The state-run airline won the award for recognition of its role in developing the air cargo market in the region, the release said. The winners are selected based on voting of over 20,000 freight forwarders across the globe, which is then fully audited by the British International Freight Association.
