Big Music & Kingfisher Airlines fly high with Jagjit Singh's 'Inteha'

Mumbai: Big Music partnered Kingfisher Airlines for a novel in-flight music launch. Mumbai – Delhi Kingfisher fliers were in for a special surprise on 3rd April, with Jagjit Singh, the ghazal supremo launching his brand new album ‘Inteha’ on-board one of the flights. What made the occasion even more special was the presence of Anoushka Shankar, daughter of legendary Ravi Shankar and herself a famous sitar player & composer.
Inteha is a part of the three album deal that Big Music had signed with the king of ghazals. Inteha, which translates as anything ranging from ‘extreme’ to ‘limits’ to ‘boundaries’ encapsulates the sheer dexterity of Jagjit Singh’s voice, his ability to emote and evoke deep feelings and sentiments. Priced at Rs. 150, the album featuring six romantic tracks and two ghazals steeped in life’s philosophy takes us to the very boundaries of the world of romantic, sentimental music.
Jagjit Singh shared his thoughts on the release, “All my fans have been asking for ‘new’ ghazals since a long time. This is my ‘Inteha’ of gratitude for all their love and support. My association with the Big Music team goes a long way. Big Music has been a very supportive partner and I hope everyone is happy with the results.”
All Kingfisher guests got autographed music CDs from Jagjit Singh, along with a photo opportunity. Commenting on the association, Vikram Malhotra, Vice–President, Marketing Kingfisher Airlines Limited, said “In-flight entertainment has always been an integral part of the Kingfisher Airlines experience and is unparalleled in the Indian skies.
