MDLR to connect Jamshedpur with New Delhi and Chandigarh

Jamshedpur: The wait for better air connectivity may be over on the first day of the Bengali New Year.
The low-cost private airline service provider, MDLR Airlines, is set to commence its air link connecting Jamshedpur with New Delhi and Chandigarh from April 15 onwards.
A test fight was conducted today to check the technical feasibility of the service. The company proposes to press a 70-seater aircraft core engine avro-regional jet into service on this route.
Talking to The Telegraph over phone today, MDLR’s chief executive officer Koustav M. Dhar said: “I believe that Jamshedpur airport officials were more than satisfied with our aircraft.
“I heard reports of official praising the aircraft landing, as our planes use only half of the runway before coming to a halt. And we do propose to offer some of the cheapest fares to passengers.”
The MDLR aircraft is mainly suitable for smaller runways. Earlier, MDLR proposed to start its service from March 23, an idea that was postponed due to technical reasons.
For now the route would begin from Chandigarh, travel via Delhi and then to Ranchi before coming to Jamshedpur from where it would take off to Calcutta. Bookings for the flight started 10 days ago.
