New Delhi: Low-cost carrier SpiceJet has added Goa as a new destination to its existing network of domestic cargo operations.
"Cargo operations have always been a great source of ancillary revenue for SpiceJet. We have exceeded our target by eight per cent last financial year," SpiceJet Chief Commercial Officer Samyukth Sridharan said.
"The addition of a 13th station to our network will definitely boost our operations and we are looking at doubling our target for this fiscal," he said while announcing the launch of cargo operations from Goa.
SpiceJet is among the first airline in the low fare category to venture into cargo operations in May 2008.
Since then it has expanded to include major cities like Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Kolkata to its network in less than a year and now operate from 13 stations.
