New Delhi: An Air India flight to Patna carrying 115 passengers developed a technical fault shortly before take-off from here.
Adding to the woes of the passengers was a more than four-hour delay in arranging another plane to take them to their destination.
Airbus A320 had to return from the take off point following problems with the oil pressure gauge and it took long to taxi the second aircraft from the international terminal, where it was parked, an airlines official said.
Subsequently, refusal by three passengers to fly to Patna and off-loading of their baggage compounded the woes of the fliers as their flight (IC 407) was delayed by over four hours.
The aircraft finally took off at around 3.40 pm instead of its scheduled time of 11.25 am.
