Now, take a flight to Guwahati

Chandigarh: Along with Srinagar, Tricity residents get to add Guwahati to their list of destinations where a summer holiday can be planned with GO Air beginning operations to the beautiful North-east city from here on May 21.
“The company has decided to start the connecting flight via Delhi in view of a large number of students from North-east studying in Chandigarh and also to attract tourists from Tricity desirous of visiting that part of the country,” said Sanjay Ghatak, manager (airport), GO Air.
The 166-seater aircraft will reportedly take off for Guwahati on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, while for rest of the days, it will fly to Mumbai. “Invitational fare from Chandigarh to Guwahati is Rs 4,500 and for Mumbai, Rs 5,300,” said company sources.
The launch follows recent introduction of attractive fares and schemes by Air India and Go Air for passengers hoping to visit tourist destinations from Chandigarh via air. In fact, for the first time Kingfisher Airlines had started direct flights
from city to Srinagar last month.
