SpiceJet distributes 80,000 free tickets on Saturday

New Delhi: India's fifth largest airline SpiceJet on Saturday announced four free complimentary tickets to all its 20,000 passengers travelling by SpiceJet aircraft.
In total, the airline distributed about 80,000 free tickets to commemorate completion of four years in Indian skies.
It gave each guest on board all its 125 flights today, a gift kit containing four complimentary return tickets across its network of 18 destinations along with a complimentary holiday voucher for four-day stay at resorts across India.
In flight, SpiceJet guests received four praline chocolates. Over 20,000 fliers receive this today as a special surprise on board.
Announcing this gift dole-out, Sanjay Aggarwal, Chief Executive Officer, SpiceJet Limited said, “This is our gesture of gratitude to our guests. Each guest can now use these free tickets to fly any of the destinations that we touch. And they can now get a hotel accommodation as well for their friends and families!”
SpiceJet’s market share has grown from 7.9% in September, 2008 to the current 12%. Kingfisher currently leads the market followed by Air India and Jet Airways.
