AI employees to get salaries, PLI by July 14

New Delhi: Air India management has decided to pay the June salaries and productivity linked incentives to its employees on July 14 and wages to the contractual staff on July 10.
"The employees covered under the Payment of Wages Act and drawing wages up to Rs 10,000 per month will get their June wages on July 10," a company spokesperson said.
Staffers of the AI's parent firm National Aviation Company of India Limited (NACIL) and its subsidiaries, who are not covered by the Act, would get their June salaries and productivity linked incentives (PLI) by July 14, a day ahead of the day announced earlier by the management, the spokesperson said.
The decision came almost a week after the employees went on a two-hour agitation to protest the delay in payment of their salaries.
