AI offers discount on redemption for fliers

Hyderabad: In a bid to attract travellers, national carrier Air India (AI) on Tuesday had introduced a discounted redemption offer on its Flying Returns, a frequent flier programme, which will be valid till September 30. According to AI, members of Flying Returns can get an award ticket at a discount of 25 per cent of the normal redemption mileage points.
For instance, as against 14,160 points required to avail an award ticket on the sector Delhi-Mumbai, an award ticket can now be availed for 10,620 points. Similarly, the discounted redemption offer is available on various routes including Delhi-Goa, Goa-Mumbai, Hyderabad- Mumbai, Mumbai-Dubai, Delhi-Singapore, Chennai-Delhi, London-Mumbai, Bangalore-Delhi and Mumbai-New York.
AI said, frequent fliers, even with mileage points of as low as 3,885 can now get a one-way award ticket on the sector Mumbai-Goa. The discounted redemption facility is available on international as well as domestic routes of AI. Members can either purchase top-up miles, in case of shortage of mileage points, at a nominal amount of Rs one per mileage point.
