Guwahati-Kolkata flight makes emergency landing

Kolkata: A Guwahati-Kolkata flight with 181 passengers on board today landed under emergency conditions at the NSC Bose International airport here after temperature of the plane's fuel tank rose abnormally high.
The pilot of the Spice Jet flight (SG-529) noticed the temperature going up and contacted the Air Traffic Control for "priority landing".
But, ATC and airport authorities made arrangements for "emergency landing" with fire brigade and ambulances rushing to the runway.
The plane safely landed at 4.20 pm.
