Let the mouse be your pilot

New Delhi: If you are new to the Capital and don't know your way to or from the airport, help is now just a click away.
The official website of Indira Gandhi International Airport -- www.newdelhiairport.in -- has added a new interactive feature that allows visitors to get information on road directions to and from the airport, along with other important information relevant to air passengers.
The new service is based on the 'Google Maps' service, provided by Internet major Google. As one clicks the 'IGI Airport Interactive Map' tab in the Passenger Info section, the page leads to the default window, which shows the location of IGI Airport.
Users would just have to type in the name of a place to get precise road directions to and from the airport. For example, typing 'NOIDA Sector 29' would result in directions leading from the Airport to Dhaula Kuan, Ring Road and then across the toll bridge into Noida. The system also gives turn-by-turn directions along with distances.
The mapping system not only works within the NCR, but also from other cities to the airport.
Apart from finding your way to and from the airport, you can also use this facility to search services available around the airport. For example, typing 'hotel' in the dialogue box will show the locations of the hotels nearest to Delhi Airport, in this case hotels located around NH-8, Vasant Vihar and further.
One can also search for other locations like hospitals, medical stores, embassies etc.
