New Delhi: Ailing Air India will soon issue a global advertisement to appoint a Chief Operating Officer to carry out day-to-day operations under CMD Arvind Jadhav, Civil Aviation Ministry sources said today.
The COO, who will be a professional airline manager with a proven track record, will be appointed on a contract of three to five years, the sources said.
The government had last month announced that the top management of the national carrier would undergo an overhaul within 30 days.
"We are working on a turnaround plan for Air India and not on its privatisation," a source said in reply to questions.
