American raises baggage fees on some routes

Fort Worth-based American Airlines Inc. raised fees Friday for passengers checking a second bag on some international routes, matching similar pricing by other carriers.
The carrier will charge passengers flying from the U.S. to India and several European countries $50 for a second checked bag; passengers can check one bag at no charge.
Besides India, the destinations for the new fee include Belgium, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain and Switzerland.
