British Airways OKs Advertising On Web, Boarding Passes

London: U.K. carrier British Airways Friday said it touting for companies to advertise on its Web site and on boarding passes in an effort to raise revenue.
BA had received approaches from brands wanting to advertise through the airline and in the current difficult economic climate it was a good opportunity, said Abigail Comber, BA's manager for brand, proposition and insight.The ability to advertise on boarding passes will be available from Oct. 1.
Indian-owned luxury automaker Jaguar was the first company to advertise on the airline's Web site, which is allowing advertising for the first time since its launch almost 10 years ago.
