Finnair to restart Mumbai-Helsinki flights

After discontinuing its service from Mumbai to Helsinki last April, Nordic air-carrier Finnair has decided to restart the flights from October 17 with a brand new Airbus 330.
Finnair, which will provide one of the shortest services to Europe will take just eight hours to complete one-way-trip between its destinations and will operate three times a week from Mumbai, the airline's director for Indian Subcontinent Kari Stolbow, told PTI.
The European airline will also operate daily flights between New Delhi and Helsinki from September against four flights operated per week earlier.
"Mumbai is India's biggest business city and the centre of business and logistics. India's most affluent population lives in the area too, so there is a major potential for tourist traffic to Europe," Stolbow said.
The plane, a brand new Airbus 330, will seat 229 people in the economy class and 42 in the business class.
