New Delhi: Congress MP Sanjay Nirupam on Tuesday said the government is reviewing the access given to foreign airlines under Bilateral Air Services Agreements in the last 10 years.
Nirupam said the seats given to foreign carriers under the bilateral agreements was detrimental to the business prospects of Air India and other carriers.
"The PMO has ordered for a review of all the bilaterals given in the last 10 years (by India) and the Committee of Secretaries is looking into the matter," Nirupam said while speaking at the National Convention of Civil Aviation Joint Action Front (CAJAF) here today.
CAJAF is the umbrella body of the national carrier Air India's employees' unions.
