Jet Airways: Got Competition Body Notice on Kingfisher Tie-Up

Mumbai: Jet Airways (India) Ltd. said Thursday it has received a notice from the Competition Commission of India, seeking information on its alliance with rival carrier Kingfisher Airlines Ltd.
"We have got a notice from CCI, which has put some queries on our alliance with Kingfisher. We will respond to the same soon," said Srirupa Sen, manager of public relations at Jet Airways, without elaborating further.
The Times of India newspaper reported Thursday the commission has issued notices to Kingfisher and Jet Airways over the alliance the private airlines entered into in 2008. Kingfisher executives were unavailable for comment.
