Technical snag delays Kuwait flight by 19 hours

Mangalore: Three West Asia bound flights have been delayed in the last two days. The Mangalore - Kuwait Air India Express which was scheduled to depart at 8.45 pm on August 6 could not take off due to techincal snag.
Speaking to Deccan Herald, Air India Express Station Manager Chellam Prasad said that the AIE made all arrangements to accommodate all the 158 passengers in City hotels. "As the snag could not be repaired till August 7 noon, the passengers were flown in a separate flight at 4 pm on August 7," she said.
Meanwhile, the Mangalore - Dubai flight which was supplosed to land at 6.30 am, had to be diverted to Calicut due to bad weather and poor visibility in Mangalore airport.
Yet another Dubai bound Air India Express flight was delayed by one hour due to poor visibility, she added.
