Travel to Malaysia made easier

Hyderabad: As part of exploring avenues to increase tourism, investment and cultural exchanges between India and Malaysia, the Malaysian Government has decided to increase airline services between the two countries in order to achieve its target of six lakh Indian tourists' arrivals during the year. Number of airline services between Hyderabad and Malaysia would be increased from three to four times from September 2009 and upto five times by April 2010.
Addressing a press conference at the launch of ‘One Malaysia, endless experience’ marketing campaign, Malaysia Tourism Minister Dato Sri Ng Yen Yen along with Director- General Mirza Mohammad Taiyab Beg, director of Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board Manoharan and others, said that steps have been taken to further enhance connectivity to Malaysia with addition of more airlines between India and Malaysia.
Asked about her meeting with Union Tourism Minister Kumari Selja, Yen Yen said that the talks were intended to improve relations between the two countries, to promote students' tourism, create awareness and encourage each others' tourism products.
