AI cancels Mumbai, Delhi flights

Nagpur: Several Delhi and Mumbai-bound air passengers from Nagpur and Nagpur-bound passengers from Delhi and Mumbai faced severe hardships as the airliner abruptly cancelled its both morning IC-869-Delhi-Nagpur and IC-129 Mumbai-Nagpur flights. Passengers will have to face further problems as September 28 (Monday) morning Mumbai-Nagpur-Mumbai flight has also been cancelled, while the airliner may also cancel Delhi flight too, sources at the airport informed.
Jagmohan Lamba, a frequent flyer, alleged that Air India ground staff was callous towards the inconvenience caused to the passengers.
Another passenger, Devendra D, said he had booked a ticket to attend a family function scheduled for 12 noon at Delhi and he thought the flight was convenient as it reaches Delhi in the morning. However, he was unable to attend the function.
Sources at the airport informed that many passengers were left stranded at the airport for some time. Some of the VIPs managed find a place in JetLite Mumbai flight. Passengers even created ruckus at the airport terminal building. The Airports Authority of India officials, however, handled the situation.
