Chennai: National Aviators Guild (NAG), the pilots’ union of Jet Airways, might not support the welfare measures for the pilots, who were not cooperative during the recent face-off between the union and the management.
Hinting at a stern action against this “traitor” pilots, about six of them from Chennai, NAG secretary D Balaraman said they would be kept out of the ambit of the association’s financial support. “The NAG members will not contribute for the welfare of these pilots who did not support us during our hard times,” he said, after his first assignment to London following his reinstatement as Jet crew.
“We had a meeting in Mumbai on Wednesday to reach a consensus on the five representative members who are to be on board along with the management to resolve the issues of pilots. A decision on the same should come by this weekend,” Balaraman said. However, he said he would not participate in the talks as a pilot representative.
