Ahmedabad: Many passengers of three Mumbai-bound and one Indore-bound Jet Airways flights were left high and dry at Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel International airport after majority of the Jet flights got cancelled on Tuesday.
The cancellation of Jet Airways flights from Ahmedabad led to a lot of inconvenience to the passengers. They also complained of "misinformation" by airline authorities in failing to inform them about the impending situation.
On the cancellation of flights, manager (public relations), Jetlite, Srirupa Sen, said, "We had made some alternative arrangements for the stranded passengers after their flights got cancelled."
A large chunk of pilots did not report for work protesting against sacking of two of their colleagues, a step termed as "sabotage of operations" by airlines authorities.
In all, eight Jet Airways flights were cancelled today.
Jet Airways authorities maintained that all affected passengers can get either a full refund or rebook themselves on an alternative date without any cancellation or reissue charges.
