Talks fail, AI pilots to continue stir

New Delhi: The talks between agitating executive pilots of national carrier Air India and the management on Monday failed to break the deadlock, as the strike against cut in productivity-linked incentives entered the third day.
Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation Ministry has called a meeting of all airlines for Tuesday to discuss the situation.
“The management has refused to address our concerns. We will continue our agitation. We expect our pilots across the country to join us soon. As of now, our stand is what it was earlier,” Capt. V.K. Bhalla, who represents the senior executive pilots, told reporters here.
He claimed that the management had refused to look into their demand for payment of three months’ arrears and agreement on wages besides a neutral third party intervention.
