Kingfisher Red gets free food back

Mumbai: Kingfisher Red airline passengers, who got mailers from the airline saying that from October 10 they will have to buy meals on board, have good news in the offing.
On Wednesday, in a meeting of its executive committee, Vijay Mallya, owner of Kingfisher airlines, decided that the airline will continue free meals on board its low-cost arm. This was confirmed by the airline's spokesperson.
Kingfisher was re-thinking of selling food on board to its passengers rather than giving it complimentary since August. According to a top executive of the airline, Mallya is looking to fight the service battle and wants to up the ante by continuing to offer food when other low cost carriers are being frugal.
