New Delhi: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is planning to set up a separate body called the Civil Aviation Authority of India to lay down the administrative guidelines for the industry.
"We are preparing the feasibility study for setting up Civil Aviation Authority of India. The study is expected to be ready in three months," DGCA Director General Nasim Zaidi said while speaking at an aviation seminar here today.
The Civil Aviation Authority will perform the administrative functions while DGCA will continue with the regulatory role relating to the industry, he added.
