Bangalore: The newly-constituted Airport Economic Regulatory Authority of India (AERA) has hinted that the present User Development Fees (UDF) is likely to be revised at the Bengaluru International Airport (BIA) and the Hyderabad International airport.
AREA chairperson Yashwant S Bhave, who had recently visited the airport, apart from inspecting the facilities, also held discussions with the promoters of BIAL.
However, no decision was conveyed to BIAL on revising the present UDF on both international and domestic passengers, who are currently charged Rs 1,070 and Rs 260 respectively, said the airport spokesperson.
The present UDF charged on domestic passengers is an ad-hoc UDF, which was introduced on January 16.
BIAL has proposed to collect an UDF of Rs 675 for domestic passengers.
