New Delhi: MRO company Air Works has announced the receipt of a globally recognised certification for its engineering activities and said it plans to target the 600-strong airplane market in South Asia to carry out their repair and overhaul.
The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification would enable Air Works, which already services corporate jets and the entire Boeing-737 family of planes, to cater to aircraft not just from India but from anywhere in the world.
Air Works is already certified by DGCA.
“The EASA approval to Air Works, the first to any organisation in India, covers maintenance and airframe servicing of the turboprop ATR-42s and ATR-72s and Boeing 737s,’’ the CEO, Mr Fredrik Groth, told reporters here.
