Bangalore: Union civil aviation minister Praful Patel on Wednesday promised all help to Karnataka in developing airports in the state and said the new airport in Mysore is ready for use.
"The Mysore airport, a joint venture between Airports Authority of India and the state government, is ready for operation," Patel said at the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the FIFA football academy.
He said the state government wants to have scheduled commercial flights from Mysore to other cities in the country. "The central government supports the vision and endeavour of the state government to develop airports in places like Mysore, which is fast emerging as another IT city, and Mangalore. We'll do everything to ensure more connectivity to these places," he said.
