Fog engulfs Chandigarh, affects flight movements

Chandigarh: A thick blanket of fog engulfed the city this morning throwing normal life out of gear and affecting flight movements here.
As visibility levels dropped below 600 m, Jet airways had to cancel its morning Delhi-Chandigarh-Delhi flight while Kingfisher airlines flight from Delhi to the city was delayed by over three hours, airline officials said.
Dense fog also enveloped many areas in Punjab and Haryana, MET officials said, adding Adampur and Halwara in Punjab and Ambala and Sirsa in Haryana had zero visibility in the morning.
