Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Tuesday disposed of the contempt proceedings against the Jet Airways' pilots after accepting an unconditional apology from them.
The HC had issued contempt notice to the pilots belonging to National Aviators Guild for continuing the strike despite court's restraining order in September this year.
When the strike began, the private airline management moved the High Court. A division bench led by Chief Justice Swatanter Kumar then restrained pilots from carrying on the strike till next hearing.
But the stir continued. Later the dispute between the pilots and the airline was resolved, but the High Court said the pilots must face consequences for defying court's orders.
