New Delhi: The government today said there is no proposal as of now to allow foreign airlines to invest in Indian carriers.
"I have not come across a proposal... As of the moment, I have not seen any paper or proposal...we shall comment when it comes," Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma told reporters here.
The government has been of the opinion that allowing foreign carriers to invest in their Indian counterparts, when they were growing, would not be in the interest of the local aviation industry.
