Mumbai: Flight operations at Mumbai airport here were affected on Thursday for over 20 minutes after the tyre of a private charter aircraft burst leading to closure of the main runway.
The main runway was closed for about 24 minutes due to a tyre burst of a non-scheduled operator aircraft, a Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) spokesperson told PTI in Mumbai tonight.
Due to the closure of the runway a JetLite flight was diverted to Ahmedabad, the spokesperson said.
