Delhi Police inspector arrested for human trafficking

The police said Rahuvir Singh helped two women migrate to Canada on a forged passport in 2003 when he was posted at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI), New Delhi. The Joint Commissioner of Police (Operations) Satyendra Garg said, “We arrested Singh after his role was established in the offence of helping two women migrate to Canada on a forged passport. Both the women were deported to India from Zurich airport in Switzerland after anomalies were found in their passports.
Security officials at Zurich Airport had detected an anomaly in the woman's passport identified as Manpreet Kaur. Kaur was deported to India. The staff of the airlines pointed out the fraud first as the photograph on the passport did not match the age of the woman.
