New Delhi: The Delhi High Court today directed the Delhi International Airport Limited to reinstate 136 workers engaged in trolley retrieval and slammed the airport operator from running away from its responsibilty.
Allowing the petition of Indira Gandhi TDI Karamchari Union, a division bench comprising Chief Justice A P Shah and Justice S Muralidhar said DIAL was bound by a notification issued by the central government prohibiting contractual emploment.
The Union had challenged the removal of the 136 contractual workers before DIAL took over operation of IGIA.
