Medical emergency: Singapore Airlines flight lands at Chennai

A Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-300, registration 9V-SWP performing flight SQ-341 from Zurich to Singapore , was enroute overhead India, when an expectant female passenger, about 16 weeks pregnant, started to suffer from severe pain in the abdomen. The crew suspecting labour pains and worried about a possible abort decided to divert to Chennai (India), where the airplane landed safely but not before the abort had happened. The Chinese woman travelling with her husband and 2 small children was taken to a local hospital.
The airplane departed Chennai after about one hour on the ground.
