New Delhi: What was thought to be a bomb scare at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport Saturday turned out to be a mock drill conducted to check the preparedness level of various security agencies, an official said.
The drill was conducted at the behest of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security.
Around 1 p.m., a call was received saying that a bomb has been planted on Jet Airways' Delhi-Dhaka flight.
A total of 106 passengers were travelling on the flight.
"All the passengers were asked to disembark the flight and it was thoroughly checked," a senior security official at the airport told IANS.
