Pvt airline and 5-star hotel locked in a row

Mumbai: A crew of Kingfisher Airlines was allegedly not allowed to check out of a five-star hotel here and held back for about an hour following a row over payment of dues.
The Hotel management claimed non-payment of dues by the carrier, which rubbished the charge as "rumours spread by mischievous elements" to tarnish its image.
The crew was allowed to check out of the five-star hotel yesterday only after its management got an assurance that the airline would make part payment of the dues by December 26, hotel officials, requesting anonymity, said.
As an apparent fallout of the payment row, the airline has decided to patronise another hotel for crew stays.
