SWISS to increase flight frequencies to India by June 2010

Mumbai: Indian passengers travelling to North America can soon enjoy a new travel option with SWISS as San Francisco is set to become the latest long-haul destination. Effective June 2, 2010, SWISS will connect Zurich and San Francisco six times per week. This brings one of North America’s most important business and leisure destinations into the SWISS network. In addition, the airline will increase frequencies on routes to India, South America and Canada.
SWISS will operate an additional flight per week between Zurich and Delhi in February and March 2010. This will bring the total number of frequencies on this route to six for that period. From June 2010, flights between Mumbai and Zurich will be increased to six per week. SWISS will then have 11 weekly flights to and from India.
SWISS is also making full use of the opportunities generated by its membership of the Lufthansa Group. Since all tariffs and routes are combinable with Lufthansa, Indian customers can fly to destinations like San Francisco on SWISS via Zurich and return on Lufthansa, transiting in Frankfurt or Munich.
