Chandigarh: All flights from the airport here were again cancelled on Tuesday due to fogging, leaving a large number of passengers stranded, an official said.
"Authorities have cancelled all the flights for today (Tuesday). We are still not sure about tomorrow (Wednesday) as it all depends on the weather," said the airport official.
No flights took off or landed at the airport Monday either. Chandigarh airport had remained grounded Jan 1-14 due to dense fog and overcast conditions.
"Our Instrument Landing System (ILS), which helps during foggy weather, is lying defunct for the last six months. All the airlines have suffered losses worth lakhs of rupees due to this glitch," the official added.
