Govt rejects BRPSE's request to study NACIL's balance sheet

Panjim: The Board for Resconstruction of Public Sector Enterprises (BRPSE) today said the Civil Aviation Ministry has turned down its request to study the balance sheet of the loss-making National Aviation Company of India (NACIL) as the matter is being examined by a group of ministers.
"The Ministry (Civl Aviation) has turned down the request by BRPSE to study the balance sheet of NACIL stating the matter is before a group of ministers," BRPSE Chairman Nitish Sengupta told PTI.
He said when BRPSE wrote to Air India seeking to study its balance sheet, the Prime Ministers's Office and the Finance Ministry were both informed about it.
Sengupta also said BRPSE will again take up the matter at its board meeting within the next ten days.
