New Delhi: Five days after former Indigo Airlines airhostess Neha Dalal committed suicide by jumping from a cruise ship in the Bahamas, Gurgaon Police are still struggling to gather facts of the case.
“Since the victim died in the Bahamas, international laws come into play. We need a factual report to find out what exactly happened in the Bahamas.
“The report, which only American authorities can provide, will be an important piece of evidence. We have asked the ministry of external affairs to take the matter forward,” Gurgaon police commissioner SS Deswal said.
Neha’s father SK Chhikara, who works with a shipping corporation, has lodged a complaint with Gurgaon Police alleging dowry harassment by her husband Ankit Dalal and in-laws. Neha went to the US on December 15 and got a job offer on the same cruise liner where her husband worked.
