Kingfisher slashes airfare for Salem-Chennai sector

Salem: Heeding to the representations from the passengers, Kingfisher Airlines has announced a reduction in airfare from Salem to Chennai and Chennai to Salem.
As the entry-level fare was presumed to high by businessmen and others in Salem, the Salem District Small and Tiny Industries Association submitted a representation to the Kingfisher seeking a uniform rate, following which the Kingfisher reduced the fare to Rs 1,999.
