Lufthansa ties up with Matrix Cellular Services for benefiting Indians travelling aboard

Mumbai: Lufthansa has tied up with Matrix Cellular (International) Services Pvt. Ltd. for the benefit of Indian passengers travelling abroad. Indian passengers will now be able to collect award miles under the Lufthansa Miles & More frequent flyer programme when they purchase a Matrix SIM card. The Miles & More members in India will earn up to 1,000 award miles with Matrix Talk1999 annual plan of Germany and 500 award miles with the Talk999 annual plan of Germany and UK.
Additionally, Lufthansa customers can earn five award miles for every Rs 100 they spend on a Matrix international mobile or data connection. The benefits of this alliance are much more: Using Matrix SIM cards, Lufthansa travellers will be able save up to 70 per cent of their international roaming expenses. Unlike under other international roaming schemes, Miles & More members will have a choice of choosing a tariff plan that matches their usage pattern from a wide range of available options without top up and recharge as Matrix offers post paid services. The new partnership with Matrix underlines the determination and speed with which Lufthansa is rapidly expanding its frequent flyer alliances in India.
In India, with over five lakh members, Miles & More already has successful partnerships with Air India, Jet Airways, India Times Shopping, Kempinski Hotels (Leela) and The Taj Group of Hotels, among others.
