Indigo to operate more flights from Srinagar

Srinagar: Buoyed by the good response to its just three days of operation, the leading low-cost carrier Indigo Airlines has announced plans to increase the number of its flights to and from Srinagar shortly.
"We have received huge response from Srinagar, encouraging us to introduce more flights from this city to other cities besides introducing air service to Leh," Indigo president Aditya Gosh told PTI in Srinagar today.
He said to begin with, the airline plans to increase the frequency of the Srinagar-Delhi flight to thrice a week from March 28. "There will also be flights to Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Nagpur shortly from Srinagar," he said.
Indigo started its service to Srinagar from Jammu and Delhi on Thursday. On the very first day the airline ferried 170 passengers from Delhi to Srinagar on a 180-seater plane.
